April 5, 2005 - The sentencing begins......

Today I met for the first time with my oncologist. We went over my pathology, history, tests, and what to expect. I was very surprised. I was getting off with what seemed like a “light” sentence. He only prescribed 4 chemotherapy treatments. I don’t know why I was surprised, after all, my pathology did say that they did not find any more cancer cells, and it has not been proven that the cancer has spread – so for all I know, I am already cancer free, but still, I’d rather do the chemo to be on the safe side. He did explain all the nasty side effects and did tell me that I would lose my hair. He sent me out for labs, tests, and a port-a-cath.
